My motor on this intertherm circa 1988 vintage, runs slow. I just replaced it. Before I replaced it the motor never started. I could spin it and maybe it might start. Now I have what I consider to be the original problem back... what might be causing this. I have voltage at my burnbox sensors and when the limit trips the motor begins to spin. However, it spins like it is running only on 110, and not 220 VAC.

What could be going on here? Thank you in advance...

Did you replace the old motor capacitor with a new one sized for the new motor.

Check voltage going to the mtr. is it 120volts?

I have 120 at the motor, yes I change the run cap... found a bad ground connection which when tightened produced the desired heating effects through fan motion. Thank you... sometimes a person just needs to be patient when changing large components out...

I believe 32 years is a good age for a motor to die, what do you think?
