Good day

I have a 1997 volvo 960 with 75k miles. I needed gas today, pulled into station, purchased about $10.00 worth of gas. I then drove off for about 5 miles everything was fine. At a stop sign I noticed the car starting to shake, after I pulled off there was hesitation, almost like a minor stall, the car then accelerated almost normally. No problems up to this point. My gas cap doesn't seem right , it only clicks once. I'm thinking bad gas cap, clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, or maybe bad gas, water in the tank. Any suggestions? Thanks

. Change fuel filter.

. Change the spark plugs, if they have not been changed in the last 45,000 miles or 3 years? Be sure to apply dielectric grease to the porcelein and top electrode of each plug. Use the exact plugs that came in the car.

If the problem persists, replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and ensure each coil-on-plug is firing.
