Name the anion that is the result when H2SO4 is dissolved in water.

Since you mentioned 'the anion' I guess you're looking for the main anion.

H2SO4 is made of the cation H^+ and the anion SO4 ^2-.

In water, you'll therefore have SO_4\ ^{2-} as anion.
