I am doing a research on developing curricula. I want to know How to design a unit in an English as a Foreign Language course book?

The first thing I would do is to list all the things you want your students to learn by the end of the unit. Take that list and break it up into individual lessons.
Make sure you have enough material to cover the entire lesson, but don't try to cram in too much. Since this will be the first time you have executed these lessons there will be hiccups along the way. However, you also need to make sure you have backup material available in case the students learn faster than you expected.
