In November My son was drunk and on drugs.. I called the police on him for making threaths towards my husband. When the police officer went to where he was he got out of control and had a fight with the officer.. I don't know anything about the laws in PA.. Does anyone maybe have and advice for me ? My son has 2 small sons and is a good person, Right up until he started doing drugs and drinking. I wish the jail offered some help for drugs and alchool but they don't.. Right now he isn't allowed to take his paxil and is getting very depressed.. Don't get me wrong.. He was wrong, and he needs to pay for his crime..

These are serious charges - without knowing his past record it is difficult to know what the sentence will be. His Attorney would be the best person to give you an idea - I don't think he will get out without jail time with these offenses.

Has anyone petitioned to allow him his prescribed medication while he is being held?

My guess is 5 to 10 years, with parole in perhaps 2/3 of the sentence. His problem now is to get that attorney who 1. can answer the question, and to be trying to get charges reduced or a better plea agreement
