I remember watching this show as a kid. It might be from the 80's. It takes place on an Island. There are these kids that love discovering flora and fauna of the island.
The show deals with nature and animals and friendship. There are lots of underwater shots of dolphins and corals and staff. This show had a great melody in the opening credits. Very mystical(kind of like an opening theme for "Picnic at hanging rock"). There was also this bearded man in the show who looked like John Rhys-Davies.
I don't remember much else about the show other than the fact that I loved it. If anyone has any ideas, please help. Thank you.

It sounds like The Lost Island - an international crew of young students set out on a sailing trip an attempt to unify the worlds nations. They hit a storm and are washed ashore on The Island. But its lots in time. And so the show goes on. Look it up on u tube.
