I've been researching answers online but I seem to be getting mixed answers. Do you consider the first day of spotting or full flow to be the first day of your menstrual cycle.

That would be the day your period starts and it can last between three and five days.

Don't count the spotting day. Count Day 1 as the first day you have a flow.
