I have a 2009 kia spectra I can put it into reverse drive netural 3 2 and 1 but I just won't go anywhere like it just won't switch over. What should I do

Yea, I can put it in drive but when I hit the gas it doesn't go any where, like the gears aren't cathcing. Could having low transmission oil be the problem

Yes, have you checked the fluid?
There should be a color coded dipstick: yellow is your engine oil and red is for transaxle fluid.
Check for proper trans fluid level with the engine idling at operating temperature.
If it doesn't show in the normal range, you'll need to add just enough to get it into the bottom of the normal range. You should have engagement now. If not, you'll likely need it towed in for diagnosis.
