I am about to become a German citizen. Germany requires you to renounce your USA citizenship as in my case, they do not allow dual. I have no problem with renouncing my USA citizenship. My only concern is not being allowed back in the USA to visit. Supposed, the Embassy has confirmed that I will be allowed in under the same conditions as any other German citizen. With recent "security measures", a friend suggested they might black list me and NEVER let me in the country again... This is my concern. Has anyone renounced and successfully visited the USA again afterward?

If you become German, you can enter US under visa waiver program. In plain word, you can enter US as a visitor and stay up to 90 days without a visa... but you are not allowed to work.

Thank you for responding. I am aware of what the USA position in "on paper". I have heard, however, that as the USA reserves the right to deny entry to anyone if they so choose, that that I may be "black listed" for having renouncing and denied entry, even under the visa waiver program. I am looking for instances of anyone being denied entry after having renounced. If I run the risk of never returning to the USA even to visit, then the situation looks very different to me.

If you don't have criminal records in US, you will be fine.

Nope! No criminal records. I would just like to visit once a year so I hope I will be fine then. Many thanks.
