I was fired, well my ex boss says laid off. He built an office and now he couldn't afford me or the main nurse so he says. He sat both of us in his office on a Friday afternoon before we left home. We were told he couldn't afford us. He was sorry and I gave him the office keys and so did the nurse. We said goodbye and thought everything was OK between us. One week later one of the employees from another practice called me to inform me that my picture was posted at the front desk of the building with the security, that I was not to be allowed in the office. Well a was surprised and called the security and he confirmed that, that was correct, but not to worry that he and everyone knew me well and I was always welcome. I called my ex boss to ask him because I couldn't believe this. I called me back and he tried to blame another dr that worked in the same office. I just coudnt understand. Well a few days later another employee from the building called to me tell me why was my picture still there, so I called the security and asked him who gave him the picture and he responded an employee that worked for that other dr. So now I called her and asked her why did she give my picture to the security. She stated that my ex boss wife gave it to her sealed to give to the security and she didn't know what was in the envelope. Well to make a long story short the dr my ex boss called me to see if everything was OK and to try to go on and forget about what happened with the picture. I told him that was not right I was fired because he couldn't afford me not because I stold or did anything wrong. He said to try to forget it that he went down and asked the security to take my picture off. I told him that my picture should have never been posted their that I was not a criminal nor a thief nor was I americas most wanted for my picture to be there. Well a lot more happened and at this point I just want to know if they had the right to post my picture at the front desk if I didn't do anything wrong. I feel humiliated everyone was calling me to ask me what happened cause my picture was there. Please let me know if this is legal or not I need to know for my own sake.. Thanks yami

You haven't informed us that anything was said about the picture which would suggest yo had done anything wrong. Mere posting of your picture isn't defamation. It's simply to inform security that you no longer work there and therefore shouldn't be allowed in as an employee.
