My single moen positemp shower faucet has no hot water coming out it's just a trickle. I removed the handle and plate removed the horseshoe pin but can't remove anything else it has this white plastic rectangular thing with hand c on it on the shaft but I can't pull anything out. I even screwed the handle back on to try to pull the cartridge out but that didn't work. I was hoping to just pull cartridge out and clean out debrise in hope that would regain my hot water pressure. So what do I do next

Use a pair of pliers or needle nose pliers to turn the white part. Once you get it to spin the whole thing should pull out fairly easy. (make sure the water is off to the house before pulling the cartridge). If you don't feel comfy using pliers, they do make a tool just for removing moen cartridges. Any plumbing supply store that sells moen should have one they will sell you or let you borrow.

Follow Mygirsdad instruction you be able to remove the cartridge, if not here is the tool which he suggested.

Moen faucets parts has life time warranty, just call them and they will send you a new cartridge and comes with a plastic removal tool, Good luck.

OK the white thing doesn't look like it will turn cause it set in the notch in the celender housing

I know it looks a little decieving, but trust me, it will rotate, the only thing that keeps it from rotating is the horshoe shaped clip you removed. As you rotate the white part, the notch will actuall cause the valve to push out(really a great design). Give it a try and you will see what I'm talking about.

Ps. Try not to push in on the cartridge while twisting, just twist it.

So is that my problem once I get it out or is it just junk in there?

Most likely junk in there. Clean the cartridge (JOhn, can you show that post about moen posi temp cartridges, very helpful) Also, while you have the cartridge out, turn the water on for a few seconds to clear any debris in the vavle body.
