I looked on IMDB but had no luck. I don't know when this movie came out, but am sure it was 90's or later. I don't remember the entire plot but am hoping someone might recognize what I do know. There is a series of crimes (murders probably) being investigated by the FBI (BAU?) the authority figure is a male, but there is a student or agent in training who is a female (possibly a red head) and they investigate the cases together. In the end it turns out that the girl has assumed the name and place of a girl she murdered. I might be able to come up with more if I think about it longer...

Am looking for a list of possible titles I could check on.

I can't be sure, but after some digging around I think I figured it out myself - I am going to watch American Psycho 2 and see if that is the one.
