I received an RCA TV model L42FHD37R for Christmas but am unable to successfully connect my Toshiba DVD VCR model SD-V383SC. I am able to view a taped VCR but cannot seem to record. Would appreciate some help. Thanks

I am guessing you have your cable signal going to the TV directly. Instead, you must put the cable signal into the VCR and then run a short cable from the VCR to the TV. The attached drawing should help.

If you can describe more precisely how you currently have it wired up, we can give you a better answer.
