York diamond 80 gas heater

They have been here 7 times and replaced the board 3 times the ignitor once and now the blower. It is a york 80 diamond gas heater

I hope they are not charging you for all of that . I can guarantee you there was only one problem with your furnace but they cannot find it so they are just changing parts till they do find it. That is not the way a good quality service company should work. Not much that can be done from here. Sorry to hear about your situation.

Thank you. It is just so frustating that pse&g can not figure it out. But at least it is covered in my service contract so I do not pay every time they come out. It just has to be something that they are just overlooking. What don you think about asking them to change the high limit control or thermo cupler? These are a few suggestions that have been offered.

It very well could be the high limit control triggering the circuit board to shut down the burner and then holding the blower on as if the furnace is in a over heat condition.

Following up on what hvac had to say, I will answer the other part of your question, I don't think that your furnace has a thermocouple.

Also something that you could do yourself is to have someone turn the thermostat for you as you stand by the furnace, first tell them to turn the thermostat on and the tempature up, you than observe what the furnace does. Listen for a small moter to come on and run, then especially look for a bright glow coming from inside the furnace. If you see the glow then listen for something that sounds like the burners lighting, this should be pretty noisy so you should be able to hear it. Then notice if it makes this noise several times in just a few seconds.

After you do this and if the furnace goes off again and will not come back on then I want you to unplug the furnace and then p;lug it back in this should reset the controls and make the furnace try to operate again.

One other thing that I have found when the furnace will run for several minutes to maybe an hour and then act like you say that yours is, and that is to find a dirty Air conditioning coil, the dirty coil make the furnace over heat and turn off for a period of thirty seconds or so and then back on, It will do this for about four or five times and then it goes to lock out again like yours is doing.
