I have a hunter 52" ceiling fan that had three speeds. Now it goes from high with one pull of switch cord, then to medium on second pull, but goes back to high on third pull instead of low. Then off on fourth pull. I checked switch and capacitors, and test OK. Any help would be appreciated. Also is it safe to operate as is?

Test the capacitors again. 99% chance they are the problem.
