My boyfriend was recently incarcertated for 5 days. On his day he was bonded out, he was given some medication. Come to find out the medicine was not given to the right person. There was someone else in there with the same last name as his. When he got home that afternoon he began having ceizures, his parents had to call the ambulance because he was doing things uncontrollably, come to find out whatever medicine he was given he had a major allergic reaction. Is there something that can be done? He doesn't have insurance.

If he doesn't have the money, he can apply with the County's Social Services for Insurance and Free Legal Advice. It sounds like a lawsuit possibility, especially if he can get everything that happened documented by the doctor that prescribed the medicine and the hospital that treated him. If you are serious about pursuing it, save all paperwork that can prove it and write down names and times of people and events.

I would wonder why he did not look at the label, see it was not his name, and see it was not his pill when he opened the bottle,
