Judicial Watch has obtained documents through FOIA that proves Speaker Madame Mimi Pelosi abuses the privilege she gets from being Speaker of the House in the use of military aircraft for her commutes too and from Washington DC and San Francisco. On average it costs the taxpayers $1 million a year to handle her transportation costs... $28,000 per flight .

Speaker Pelosi used Air Force aircraft to travel back to her district at an average cost of $28,210.51 per flight. The average cost of an international congressional delegation (CODEL) is $228,563.33. Of the 103 Pelosi-led CODELs, 31 trips included members of the House Speaker’s family.
One CODEL traveling from Washington, D.C. through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq from May 15-20, 2008, “to discuss matters of mutual concern with government leaders” included members of Congress and their spouses and cost $17,931 per hour in aircraft alone. Purchases for the CODEL included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine.
According to a “Memo for Record” from a CODEL March 29 – April 7, 2007, that involved a stop in Israel, “CODEL could only bring Kosher items into the Hotel. Kosher alcohol for mixing beverages in the Delegation room was purchased on the local economy i.e. Bourbon, Whiskey, Scotch, Vodka, Gin, Triple Sec, Tequila, etc.”
The Department of Defense advanced a CODEL of 56 members of Congress and staff $60,000 to travel to Louisiana and Mississippi July 19-22, 2008, to “view flood relief advances from Hurricane Katrina.” The three-day trip cost the U.S. Air Force $65,505.46, exceeding authorized funding by $5,505.46.

Pelosi Party Planes? | Judicial Watch (http://www.judicialwatch.org/weeklyupdate/2010/04-pelosi-party-planes)

Setting aside a debate about the need for giving the Speaker of the House the privilege of using military jets to come and go ; is there any argument that the American people should NOT be paying her for her booze ? Please San Fran Nan ;if only for the sake of appearances ;BYOB !

I think it should be like everyone else. If it's a travel expense then to have 1 is OK. Not this bottle full after bottle full. Another thing is she keeps canceling flights like it's a taxi. That alone cost us U.S. taxpayers a ton.

Why Queen Nancy deserves the very best booze at our expense!! Why? Because she says so, that's why.

I'm absolutely outraged that she has not ordered her own private Concorde jet as the military ones take too danged long to fly coast to coast and her Highness is spending way too much time commuting. Just wait. She will. I can see that one coming.

And I do like the part where she can take all her family on vacations using her "company provided transporation". You betcha I do. I also like the part where the plane is practically empty as well. That part is okay considering a lot of other "needy" folks can't even buy gasoline for their automobiles to drive to a job interview... but Queen Nancy must fly in her own private jet alone as she is way above all of us poor Americans. She sure missed her calling by a few hundred years. She would have made a perfect Marie Antoinette.

Has any of the former Speakers ever had this outrageous spending habit on their transportation?

Who does this b*tch think she is anyway that she not only dings us for her "ride" but also dings us for her booze as well? Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of orgies go on during all those "long and boring" flights back and forth across the continent.

She always did strike me as a mean drunk. Now I'm positive she's a drunk. Her performance at the State of the Union Address was pure drunken display.

When can America vote out this pampered "Queen Moron" and get some sensible person as the Speaker? Not soon enough for me. Not soon enough.

She like every ,every member of the House is subject to reelection every 2 years. Her most likely opponent this year will be a Tea Party Republican and Ron Paul fan named John Dennis .

He first most likely faces a primary fight against the sacrificial lamb the Republican ran in 2008 ,Dana Walsh.

She does kind of look like the proverbial "rode hard and put up wet," doesn't she?
