Hi. I really don't know much about the whole pregnancy thing. So maybe someone can help me.

I was thinking I might be pregnant. But I'm not sure... now I know you will say that the only way to find out is to take a test. I did take a test today. But it said it was negative. Maybe it's too early?

The gruesome details...

I'm kind of certain of the period dates... I had a period Dec. 16th. The next one was Jan. 9th or 10th. I think this means that I should have gotten it yesterday or maybe today? I had sex on Jan. 4 and Jan. 27th. Well last night 2/01... I felt kind of flushed. But I did not have a temperature. I felt not full blown nauseaus -- but gaggy, when I would get up from laying down. I felt weird down there... kinda bloated. But see... everytime this happens, I usually have a trace amount of blood. The bloated weirdness and the blood come right together. But not this time. No blood. Then... there was another weird sensation in my nether regions. It was different from the bloatedness that I'm accustomed to. At anyrate... no period this morning. Odd. No breakouts. I woke up and I felt gaggy for an hour. My lower regions were still acting funny. (Still are.) I took a pregnancy test this morning. Negative. I don't know if it was too soon... I just don't normally feel this way and NOT have my period. I was eating dinner tonight... and it dawned on me... why the hell am I dunking a peanut butter and banana sandwich in my chili?

On a whole other level... my boyfriend and I had sex with a condom to start. He came. Then like a minute or so later, we had unprotected sex. Can sperm live on his penis and inside his urethra for like five minutes?

When should I take another test?

Well, any un protected sex can lead to pregnancy. Every woman feels different while she is pregnant so it's hard to say by just a list of symptoms. Typically you can take a test after the first day of missed period, depending on the test :S
Sometimes if you are stressing out about missing your period, then that can cause you to be late and feel these symptoms that you are describing.
So if I were you, I would wait a few days, and then take another test. Or make an appointment with your doctor!
Can I also ask how old you are? I am only asking because you stated in your question that you didn't know about the whole pregnancy thing, and you weren't sure if you could get pregnant from having un protected sex. :confused: Don't they have sex ed in schools anymore?

Thank you. Hah, yeah I'm old enough. I just haven't been through this before. I was unsure of the whole science and calculation of pregnancies and ovulation and whatnot. Like... I read that you can only really get pregnant 6 times a month. Weird, seeing as if I thought you could get pregnant at any time. I just thought it was really weird how I am feeling... yet the test was negative. I will retake it again this weekend if I haven't gotten my period by then. Thanks!
