My shower is not hot enough. Do I need to remove the shower faucet and turn up the scauld valve. I removed the 3 screws, 2 on the side and 1 in the middle of the faucet, but the faucet will not come off.

Sorry meant to say my faucet looks like this. How much would parts and labor cost? Looks too tech for me.

You can try to adjust the temperature open the attachment will show you step by step it is not that hard if that wouldn't work then you would need to replace the cartridge.

Delta faucets parts has life time warranty, call their customer service at 800-345-3358 and tell them that you have delta 1400 shower faucet and you need P/N RP19804 Cartridge they will send you one for free make sure you tell them that you are the original owner of the house, once you get the cartridge come back and one of us will walk you through how to replace it, good luck.
