My ex is on probation due to his 9th DUI. He is on house arrest and he is know stating he cannot pay child support because he has no job. He was an RN (Registered Nurse). He is stating his license is on suspension and he has no skill to work. My question is can he still work even if he has an ankle bracelet on and has to report to his probation officer? Even if it means getting a job somewhere else?

Lots of people on probation who wear a home arrest ankle bracelet hold full time jobs. There is no reason to not hold a job. It is also part of the probation rules to be gainfully employed.

And 9 DUI's and a nurse? What state is this that they would permit a known alcoholic to keep getting arrested for DUI's and not having them spend a lot of time in jail? I definitely never want to set foot in that state if they treat drunks with kid gloves!

After that many DUI's I would think that the State Nursing Board would not just suspend his license but totally take it away forever. A person like that should not be tending to patients in a hospital or other medical setting.
