Am holding a L1 visa and my wife and kid are on dependent visas (L2). I've applied SSN for my wife (though she is not working). But was told SSN cannot be filed for my son (born in India). For tax filing purpose, I need to file ITIN. Can someone let me know the procedure for applying and getting it?

Complete your tax return as married filing jointly and claim your kid as dependent. Attach W-7 (ITIN application) with your tax return and mail it.
