I have a Ruud furnace, model number UGEB-10EE-GS. The problem I am having is that the large blower at the bottom has been running all the time, since this morning, but I have no heat. The exhaust blower is not turning on, nor will the igniter. I found out that the exhaust blower is not getting any power to it. I pulled the Hot and Neutral wires from the blower out of the circuit board(47-22481-01) and used pieces of wire to "plug" it into an extension cord and it does turn on, so I know that the blower it's self is working. I tested to see if I was getting electricity to D1 on the board(were the black wire goes to) and did not get any.
I am assuming at this point that it is a relay or something in the circuit board that has gone bad. Are there any tests that I can run to conform that that is the issue, other then what I have done, before I spend $180-300 on a new board?

Look for a manual reset button switch on your unit. If they trip on high tempersture it will cause the blower to run all the time. They have a small red reset button in the center to push in if tripped. Many people have been closing registers trying to save energy. The furnace system is not designed for that and goes out on high temperature. A dirty air filter will also cause this problem. Good luck.

No reset button that I can find. Replaced the filter and now luck. We have not closed registers, we burn wood in a furnace that is next to the gas one, but have not had problems before.

Any other ideas? Please help

I do not have a wiring diagram for that unit. Usually the main blower will run all the time (as long as the thermostst is not set to blower on position) is the fact that a overheat condition has occurred and one of the sensors (usually hi limit control) has told the circuit board of this and the board causes the blower to run all the time to get rid of the excess heat until the power has been recycled. Have you tried turning off the main breaker for the furnace and then turning it back on to reset the furnace circuit board? If so what happened?

Well I fixed it...

With the power off I connected the L1(on my Honeywell Hot surface igniter), where the black power wire goes into it, to the metal box that houses the unit, with my tester. I then turned one the power and the tester shut up, red lined, and the blower stopped working. I thought that I blew a fuse so I killed the power and checked but I had not. I then checked to see if the circuit board was getting electricity and it was!! So why was it not heating the house? I went upstairs to look at the thermostat and found it was set to 63, but was reading 68 because of our wood furnace. I set it up to 70, and went back down stairs to find that the blower killed on, but nothing else. I was discouraged at this point. But, I thought I would give is a minute. Shortly there after I saw the wonderful glow of the ignitor, and then, the gas came on!!
