Hit button for door to go up and door only goes half way up

Try the procedure in this post (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/tools-power-equipment/genie-garage-door-malfunction-190573.html#post914126). I suspect you have a spot in the track that is causing the door to stick. If you can raise the door by hand, you can probably feel it and focus your efforts on that specific spot.
