I have a Lennox g51 furnace and need to know the term of the warranty. Are there any circumstances where I would be issued a warranty of shorter duration than what the manufacturer authorizes? I have three of these that are 3-4 years old. I have been told by the selling/servicing dealer that my warranty is parts and labor, one year. I have seen on this site indications that it might be between 5 and 10 years on certain issues. Thanks for your assistance. J

I believe you have a longer warranty BUT it is from Lennox and not your dealer. Most dealers give a one year complete warranty but the factory covers the parts for a longer time especially the heat exchanger.

What this amounts to is the dealer should be able to get you service parts that are still under warranty for a small shipping charge but the dealer will charge you the service call and the labor to replace the part. If in doubt contact Lennox and just ask for a copy of the warranty for your unit.

Your manual that should have been left with your furnace when installed. Also note that a warranty certificate spelling out all the warranty stuff should have also been left with you at the job site but many do not do this since they do not want the customer to read it.
