Yesterday started my 2005 dodge durango. Came back in the house. 20 minutes later drove the kids to school about an hour away. Left the school the gas light came on. Stopped 2 blocks away got a full tank. Went my rental property to collect rent another 20 minutes drive away. Turned the engine off went inside the house for maybe 30 minutes. Came back out the truck would not start. 2 hrs later a friend came over we tried to jump start to no avail. He thought it might be the battery still since it was really cold out(9 degrees). Consequently, I replaced the original battery last year around the same time. All the lights radio and horn are still operable. It sounds like it wants to start, jump won't start. What gives?

. Remove and fully charge the battery. Most auto parts stores will test and charge batteries for free. Battery is likely still under free replacement warranty.

. Clean battery terminals and cable connections.

. Perform tests in the link below:

our dodge durango is stalling randomly, it runs good but sometimes you can pull into a parking lot and it dies. But starts back up and engine light comes on auto zone says it a emission prob. What do you think

lockset,

. Find out what code is being thrown.

. Ensure the spark plugs are the same Champion plugs that originally came in the vehicle.
