I drank one beer at 8PM with dinner and thereafter started flushing my system with water after I knew I messed up. I got up and went to the gym for 2 hours. Drank liter after liter of water and green tea. I took vitamin B and C and creatine (sp) to hopefully combat the diluted urine. I pissed at 4:00 PM the following day mid stream urine. I did all I could - do you think this will come back positive or negative? Concerned and sweating it. Last time I do this to myself.

I am healthy, 185 pounds, in good shape and had not had a drink for 5 months. Wouldn't you know it the night I do it my random color comes up the next day. Just my luck.

The general rule for alcohol metabolism is 1 drink per hour. One beer should be metabolized within one hour. Allow two to be safe. I'm sure, by now, you have your "negative" test results.

Is that the same for EtG tests as well?

Boomer. I did pass it. But you can see what I did. I went crazy on precations. Just make sure. The breathalizer test is not even close to an EtG. Not even close. I think two beers I would have been busted. Safe and sound now.

No it is not the same. While one (1) 5% beer will be metabolized in under 2 hours leaving no detectable alcohol, the metabolite EtG will remain detectable in urine for about 20 hours.

I made the same mistake recently and had a beer socially with friends. My color came up the next day unexpected and I panicked. I starteded pounding the water. I stopped about five hours beforehand. I received a dilute and had to spend two days in jail and start the year long program over again. I need to be able to travel for work, so this situation is costing me. Be careful.
