My boyfriend spent 7 months in jail and got out a year ago for a burgulary charge. He just got arrested for a first time probation violation and is on probation for 7 years with jail time credit. What will be his likely punishment?

Since it was not drugs he was arrested for first time, most likely hold him in jail for a month or two pending a hearing, then put him back on probation but with closer monitoring.

Remember they could if they wanted to, send him to prison for the entire probation time.
