Hi!

I'm 20 years old and I'm having trouble growing decent sideburns.
The problem is the way my hair is growing. On the left side of my face, the hair is growing nice and vertical but on my right the hair is "bending" towards my ear. Almost horizontal! Perhaps you can imagine the problem because I can't make a nice, clean cut when the hair is bending. So my sideburns have the same length but it looks weird because they aren't cut the same way.
I haven't heard of other guys with this sort of problem. What can I do?

Best regards...

I was talking about this with a woman I work with, now I don't know if this is the official answer, but it sounds like it makes sense. She said that it was probably due to the side of your face that you sleep on. Think about it, the side that grows kind of funky is probably the side that you sleep on, meaning that's probably causing the hair to grow differently. It happens to women too, our eyebrows grow in differently, and so does our head hair... we can usually only get one side to look the way we want. Hope this is of some help. (Most guys do have one good and one funky side of facial hair too)
