Okay here
THe leak is where the pvc pipe meets the black (pipe?) for the disposal. I thought I did use a compression nut. Aren't they the plastic parts that tighten the pipes? Please forgive me, but this is my first time... Be gentle LOLOLOLO!!
Help!

W.ell, I did pretty good. Mine looks very much like this, The leak is right where the first nut wrapped around the black pipe. The nut filled with water. Again, it's the very first white that touches the black pipe. Thanks Elyse
OH, my friend attached a pvc pipe he cut for me and attached it to part of ajoining pipes but did not use connnection nuts. Will this cause a leak as well? Do you always have to have a nut at every end of ajoining pipes?

My friend cut a piece of pvc and connected it so it would fit in between the gap to finish the piping. What I am worried about now is... he did not use nuts like I did at each end of all ajoining pipes. Am I going to have another leak?

It depends where he installed the PVC pipe and what did he use to attach the pipes did he use glue or compression nuts, in the drain pipe it needs the nuts or to be glued.
In your case you need a nut and a washer to be installed, see the image below, good luck.

It was glued on both ends. I have one main pipe from the wall that then goes into a p-trap to the drain and then pipes connect ( one which is the piece I mentioned) and go to the left to connect to another p-trap and up to the disposal.Good? So, It was just glued and no nuts or washers. I knew it. Why should I have needed a nut or washer?
