The book is "Drood,It was an eye-opener and I don't think I will ever read another ens novel with the same fasination I had before.

I was actually kind of excited when I saw the question because I enjoy Dan Brown's writing style... but this author looks interesting, too! May just have to stop at Borders this weekend!

No haven't, but I love spooky. This book "The Drood",is about Charles D It is a dark picture of the man whose books I have read for years. He was a very cruel man and had some odd habits. I mean the man wrote "A Christmas Carroll and ""Oliver Twist". Who would have thought he could be such a an insane pervert.

Well, you have to remember, it is fiction. Anyone can spin any historical person into a manaical madman... or vice versa.
Wilkie Collins, an actual writer, wrote a freaky book, too. Woman in White. Check that out.
