I currently live in the state of KY and my current lease does not expire until April 2010. My landlord is currently trying force me into signing a new lease now and if I don't he is threatening to raise my rent by $300.00 monthly. Is a landlord able to rewrite my lease while my current one is in affect?

No they can't rewrite the lease. Is he talking about raising it for the remainder or raising it with the new lease ( in April ) ?
