Well, I have scars all over my body (both self inflicted and from accidents). No, I am not asking for help hiding scars from my parents. My parents and fiancé know about each self inflicted wound, the youngest of them being multiple months old. I am accident prone, always falling off the roof, down hillsides, up the stairs, etc. So I'm injured often, frequently leaving scars. I have chemical burns spanning the entirety of my legs (accidental). Needless to say, I have more scar tissue than normal skin. I have tried various scar creams, ointments, etc and nothing has worked. Is there anything else I can try?

It would be really helpful if anyone had any information on how to lighten or completely get rid of my scars. They are extremely embarrassing and part of some of my self-image issues. I would appreciate it if someone could give me some idea of how to inexpensively remove my scars.

My mom and grandmother always swore by vitamin E. my mom would always put it on when she burned herself with the curling iron and other little things that would leave scars. I'm not sure how effective it would be for larger and older scars. But it's usually not too expensive, so I guess it couldn't hurt to try.

p.s. can I ask how you are always falling off the roof? Maybe it's because I'm too afraid of heights to go on the roof, but that doesn't sound like something that would be a regular occurrence for most people. Lol :)

My little brother throws his bouncy ball too hard and it lands up there, or I forget my keys and have to break in, sometimes I don't even remember because I hit my head during the fall. Haha. And thank you! I'll try that
