I am getting white dust from my furnace/humdifier, what can I do?

I am getting white dust from my furnace/humidifer, what can I do to stop the white dust?

If the humidifier is causing the problem it probably needs to be serviced. A new pad and water orifice (if so equipped) will keep the pad wet during the winter and stop the white dust. This is a common occurrence since most people never service there humidifier.
