Ok so I'm a very paranoid girl. And I worry about a lot of things and I always have a lot on my mind. So on this coming Tuesday I'm leaving to go to my grandmas funeral. And I'm scared of flying. I watch the news. And I heard of plane crashes and terrorist attacks. And I'm like oh my God. I'm so worried I'm going bring my cellphone. I've told my mom and she's like " uh." So I'v made an esape plan already. Am I crazy? Please help me. Thanks in advance. I'm 12 almost 13 if that helps. Thanks again! :)

The fear of flying is common for many people. The fact is, more cars have accidents and more people die from car accidents then planes crashing.
When a plane crashes it makes the news simply because of the number of people in the plane. If every car accident and death because of a car accident was reported, it would be 24/7.
If you're really nervous talk to your doctor or go to a pharmacy and ask you mom to buy some Gravol. It can help with anxiety, moving sickness and it relaxes you.
You'll be just fine. :)

Hi, RadioActive697!
I didn't used to have a fear of flying, but have developed one. Yes, the statistics are that a person is more likely to have an accident in a car then in a plane. This is kind of odd, because my dad and all of his brothers did stunt flying.
I guess the bottom line for me, is that whenever anyone ventures out in anyway, they take the risk that something might happen.
The airports are now so strict, that it would be very difficult for a terrorist to attempt anything.
I agree with Alty. You'll be fine! Please have faith and trust that you will be!
My condolences to you about your grandmother!
Thanks!

The chances of you plane being taken over by terrorists is so remote that it's not even worth mentioning.
You'd have a better chance winning the lottery. :)

If you read information on links that you'll find on the following search, you'll be able to understand more about what's being done for airlines concerning terrorists.

Thank you. That lifted a big sack off my shoulders. Thank so much. I'm still worried a little (I know) but I'm not as worried as I was before. Thank you!

I'm glad that she will be with you! Was it her mother who died?

Yeah but her funeral isn't until Saturday. So I'm glad cause I don't like to see people depress. I love for people to smile (for the right reason). I'm going to have to wake up in a minute. Like 2:00am so might as well stay awake. Thank you! Again.

Well, you can sleep on the plane! Is the funeral at a church, funeral home or some other place, please?

I don't know for sure I think a church most likely. I may not go to sleep on the plane cause I'm going to watch people with weird behavior. Uh! I'm so scared! My heart is racing. I'm shaking! I'm just so terrified of terrorist. They really do scare me! I don't know what to do! Oh well but I'm going to make sure I pray hard.

So, pray! It will help you!
My daughter just got back from Rome, Italy with her mother. On one of the jets they flew, there were a whole bunch of gentleman who looked like the stereotypes of terrorists. My daughter kept looking at them and wasn't able to get any sleep because of their presence.
However, everything worked out, just fine!

Okay but is the U.S. security system really good? Is it better than other countries? What about plane crashes.

I think that your mind is working overtime here, Autumn! The U.S. security system is excellent! Most developed countries also have advanced and really excellent security systems.
Plane crashes happen once in a long while...
Please don't be concerned about the plane crashing. None of us know for sure, anything about what might happen in the future. We just have to trust and have faith, that everything will be all right.
Thanks!

Okay. I trust the system. Its just the people on the plane I don't trust. But I see your point. I think I'm over reacting a little. I will try my best to be calm. Just one more question is the weather going to be okay today cause it was windy yesterday. Thank you!

Where are you flying from and to, please? I can hook you up with a weather site that will give you hourly predictions as to what the weather might be.
Thanks!

Okay, it's getting really late for me and I need to be shuffling off to bed, Autumn.
If you type in Weather Forecast and then the Zip Code, you're going to find what's called the Weather Underground. To my knowledge, it's nationwide. Please actually have monitors in their yards in order to keep track of the weather.
Please click on the following link, for an example of how to search for that sort of thing.
Weather Forecast 61201 - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Weather+Forecast+61201&aq=f&aql=&aqi=g-p1&oq=)
You're going to be fine!
I wish, hope and pray for you, PEACE!
Thanks!
