Why would she stop talking to you? Are you sure she was your best friend?

Can't you look up the new phone number? Write to her? Email her? If you've know her for 25 years you must know someone that knows her - contact them.

It sounds like she's done.

What did she say during the phone conversation? Did something happen between the two of you of you? If so, what? Did you talk about it?

You may have to accept that she's done with the friendship.
