When cold overnight my 92 Merc. 300SL starts but after driving for a few minutes it stalls. It then will restart and run fine for the rest of the day. I have had new fuel pumps installed, a recent tune up and many parts replaced e.g. Overload sensor, wiring harness, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks... Dave

What do you mean stalls? Im asking that because some cars that have a automatic transmission have a "overdrive" function. Its not a real gear overdrive its done with fluid. It causes the transmission to lock up. What happens is when you pull to a stop the tranmission is still in gear rather then dumping and it causes the car to stall. It can feel like a fuel problem but it isn't.

What leads you to believe that it is the ICM when the car runs all day ?
