Just found out that the new boyfriend signed the birth certificate, was just wondering if the ex-girlfriend could go after me for child support? I am in Michigan and the child is only 2 months old and he willingly signed it knowing the child was not his

The questions is do you want a relationship with your child or are you happy to be off the hook?

Id like to add that what he did was highly illegal. If he had no court order to giving him the right then he forged a legal document.

If you believe its your child. Go to court and make it legal and get a set form of visitation and that way you will have a handle on the game playing. She is right in the respect that if you have the child you have no legal ties. So you could be guilty of kidnapping. Do it right. Let the courts worry about who signed what. Get a court ordered DNA. Get assigned visitation. And once everything is done do your part and pay your support as ordered.

Not if you aren't apart of the child's life. If you're not, sign over your rights and you won't have to pay a dime. The bad thing is, if you want to see the child you will lose all legal rights and will have to have her permission to ever see your child. Im in a similar situation and have a private atty. Ive spent long nights researching this stuff to help with my case.
If mom had her boyfriend sign the birth certificate, that means you weren't on it. In that case he willingly signed his life away. If they don't last, she would be more apt to receiving support from that guy than you. If you don't see your kid hire an atty and fight it because her boyfriend is now the legal dad. If you do see your kid you'll probably have to pay because you are the bio dad.

If he's not on the birth certificate he doesn't have any rights to sign away. And if he is determined to be the legal father, then he can't just sign his rights away.
