What is the best food/recipes for losing weight and being healthy?

Whole fresh unprocessed food. Things that have only one ingredient, and ideally which are local and organic.

Make things like eggs, oily fish, fresh meat and chicken and lots of green vegetables the mainstay of your diet. Add olive oil, raw nuts or seeds, some fruit (whole only, not juice or jam), some dairy, some wholegrains.

Avoid sugar and thing which includes sugar as one of the first four ingredients (that includes high fructose corn syrup, dextrose and other forms of sugar). Avoid deep fried food, processed food, anything which a lot of ingredients or things which aren't actually food.

Those things are all healthy, and because they will help you get in touch with what your body really needs without triggering binges, will help you lose excess weight too. Very few people can eat one fresh fry or square of chocolate, but almost no-one keeps eating eggs when they've had enough.

As for recipes, the list is endless.
