I have a 1990 mazda miata it will not start before it stop on me it started to run rough it started to sputter but it would get up to speed if I step on the gas it would sputter but it would run I'm getting fire to plugs fuel thought filter tried starter fluid but will not start I'm about to check timing... will maf stop it from starting PLEASE HELP IM STRANDED IN ANOTHER STATE AND I HAVE NO HELP AND WIFE IS ABOUT TO DIE IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. ICMs are particularly problematic on cars of this generation.

. Replace the spark plugs (Motorcraft) with the exact ones that originally came with the car, if they have not been changed in the last 3 years.

I suspect the ICM is the main culprit.
