Thank you!
I got Lady as a rescue. She and her brother/breeding partner were in Ontario, where they have the BSL, and was slated to be euthanized, she was removed from her "home" due to sever neglect. She spent the 5 years of her life pregnant, and left to fend for her self. She was lucky to be given water and food on a daily basis.
Then the "owner" was in a terrible car accident (karma? ) and was hospitialized for almost a year. The 2 dogs were left in a house by themselves for a full summer. Different people would come over if they had time to feed them and let them out. The neighbour reported all of this, and they (the S.P.C.A) came and rescued her and her brother, only for them to go to a pound where because they are part mastif, they were to be killed. Luckily, they have wonderful people out here who rescue these dogs and bring them to Nova Scotia and put them up for adoption here. I call it the "under ground rail road to Nova Scotia" clever? I think so.
Hehe
Well thanks for the kind words. It's taken some work, but Lady is finally coming out of her shell, and living the happy fufilling life she deserves!
