I still don't understand how to get the front of my sun beam off by the handle. There is an emblem that is mounted with a spring type apparatis in the front. How do I remove that so I can remove the front to get to the screws that remove the front cover so I can get the case apart. I know how to get in to the back but not the front. I don't want to break that spring as I think it has something to do with the beater release? My model is Service# 80-37BD which was bought in the 80's as far as I know. My speed is on high as well but can't get inside to get to the capacitor. I have gotten in the back ubder the speed dial and am trying to locate the resistor type to replace that but otherwise I am assuming that it is a capacitor problem. The points are not fused together.
