I receivd the form 1099 (Revc. 9-07) for the tax return 09. The total is $2,050.56 . I don't understand when I received this money, en why the IRS send me this form? May you explain me please. I appreciate.

1099-A, 1099-B, 1099-C,. 1099-misc which one did you get? Who sent you? In which box the amount $2050.56 is mentioned?

Are you sure it was the IRS that sent this 1099 to you? I'm wonderng if this form is actually a 1099-G that was sent to you by your state or local division of taxation to an income tax refund that you received from them? But as Mukata said - we need to know what type of 1099-form this is, and in which box the $2050.56 is shown.
