All I can remember is that there were these funny (or creepy, to a child) looking mosaic skinned people. I can't really describe the skin, it was like puzzle with many colours. They were all purple and blue and red etc.
There were also normal looking people, and I'm not really sure if this was actually a scifi series, but it must have been something like that. I believe there was some sort of a secret base, which was on earth, I think.
I watched this show when I was a kid, and I'd reaaally respect some help cause I can't find it!

There were some remakes, too.

Hi and thanks for the answer! But I must say I don't think that is the series I'm trying to find.. surely seen that one too, looked so familiar!
It was a bit more modern, surely made in the 90's, I'd say. I have a feeling that there was some sort of a teenage drama in it also. Remember The Ocean Girl? Something like it, but more scary and dramatic and no ocean-stuff. And those puzzle-skin-dudes played quite a big role, they were in all episodes.
Wish I could remember more.

Sounds to me like you might mean Babylon 5

Aliens with multi-colored skin
Human associates and secrets
Wild guess,.
Gene Roddenberry's
Earth: Final Conflict
Most of the time the alien's skin was grayish
Flesh tone, but their natural appearance was
Semi transparent with visible blue/purple hued
Lit veins flowing throughout their body.
