Well my dog eats grass from time to time and I am brick paving the back yard, so I wanted to plant something for her to munch on, she occasionally has a chew at the lemon grass but I thought maybe the cat grass woule be better for her

Keep the chives out, most other grasses are OK. They don't eat enough to be toxic.
