View Full Version : I filed an answer to judgement in the court now what do I do

I filed an answer with the court to a summons I received on 10/20/2009 with the help a friend in law school but now I don't know what to do. I looked online at my case and it says:

I am not sure as to what to do now. Does this mean that I go to court on 02/04/2010. I don't believe this is actually my debt and this was my response. So if I go to court on that day do I just tell the judge that I don't believe this debt to be valid. I'm not what the VACATED means under disposition. Please help as I am very nervous about having to appear in court.

You should have sen t a letter to the plaintiff requesting documentation of the debt. Do that immediately.

And yes it appears to mean that a hearing has been scheduled for 2/4. But I would double check that with the court clerk.
