Ontario canada- I got caught shoplifting from walmart on my 21st birthday.I stole 2 things of make up and some fake nails with total of 48$ or something. I was with afriend who also stole a thing of make up which was 11$. We walked out of the store and two walmart security grabbed us and said we were under arrest for shop lifting. We went into the back room and waited for the cops came. We got band from walmart for 1year. Cops gave us a blue sheet and said had a fingerprint date and court date. I currently am a support worker (love my job) and have a social worker diploma. I do not have a record but went to court 2 years ago! Got caught with marijuiana. Was not mine and only had to pay a 200$ donation. I don't know what I stole. Was being stupid and had no money.. no excusesreally! Was wondering if that will affect me in any way? And if anyone had any advice or anything to say to help me be a little better prepared for court.

Yes, your prior will effect you, since most likely you cannot now get into a first offender program, since it is not your first offense any longer.

So yes, when or if, your work finds out you are prone to take things not yours, will they ever look at you the same ?

Canada has a first offender program, but it sounds like you already used it, on your first crime that was reduced.

You need an attorney, since if you can not get into some offender program, or get out of it by being found not guilty, if you are found guilty you will have a record
