I have seen glass table tops on modern wood bases mounted using puck-like stainless steel (or so they appear) disks. The disks are permanently secured to the glass on one side and are secured to the base with a bolt/screw on the under-side. What are such mountings called?

Hi, Giza_Girl!
Do they look like what you'll find on the following site?
Glass Hardware, Glass tops table legs, Table legs mounting disc - Way Joint Enterprise Co. Ltd (http://www.way-joint.com/glass_hardware/table_legs_for_glass_top/table_legs_mounting_disc.html)
Thanks!

Ha! Yes, that's it! Stainless steel (table pad) adapters... I'd have never come up with that!

Many thanks!
