I just had my outside clean out line RotoRooted I know that the ceramic line is busted and filled with roots but even after having the rotorooter ran I am still having plumbing issues in my house. If I plunge the toilet my bath tub fills up with water and human waste EWWW! And if I run my washer the toilet over flows and the tub fills with water! What is going on here??

Hi Gizmo...
Clearly the drain line is still clogged. Call the rotorooter guy back and have him resnake the line using a larger cutting head. Although he cannot guarantee that the drain line won't back up soon he should be able to guarantee you some time with free flowing drain pipes... ;)
If unsure of exactly where the roots or broken pipe are you could also have them use a camera snake and videotape the drain line. The greatest advantage here is that you will know where and how severe the break is. He should also be able to tell you the exact distance off the home to the break(s) and root issue.
Meanwhile if he does get the drain flowing it can't hurt to start using some copper sulphate... may increase the time between snaking... ;)
Let me know if you want to discuss...

I just bought an older house and the first time I ran the washer the basement flooded. I ask my neighbor if there is a roto router co. in town and he told me to call the city water dept. and they would flush out the line and not charge, which I did. They told me that there was tree roots in the line and that I should not flush toilet paper down the toilet that it gets caught in the roots and causes the clog. I took their advice and now put the paper in a can with a swing lid. Not so suave sounding, but it works. I have been here for 2 years and still no problems.
