My 45 yr old Mother had a stroke back in '06. She lost use of her right arm and leg. She moved in with me,my husband, and 2 boys back in August. She has given up on all medical treament and doesn't care too much for Doctors, until this yr she claimed to her family dr that she was depressed, so he put her on anti depressants and blood pressure medication, and she does NOT take either one, but she will refill them even though she doesn't take them! I have multiple packs of zoloft and blood pressure meds building up in my med. Cabinet. She has also been eating us out of our own home... it got to the point we had to sit down and tell her she needed to buy her own food/snacks, she of course didn't listen. Then she started drinking a gallon of tea and eating a bag of potato chips in 1 DAY! She has the memory of a 90 yr old, she will find anyway she can to be disrespectful towards me, even my husband has noticed she isn't exactly rowing with both oars, her balance is getting awful.. she has fallen on my 4 yr old twice this past month, she yells non stop at my kids. I have talked to her countless times and family has talked to her, she just makes promises and breaks them, we all know she can't live on her own, but I can't stand her being here anymore either, our grocery bill went from 130 to over 200 because she can't stop! I even had to apply for food stamps! We are at wits end with her and wonder if maybe there is something else we can do that we haven't tried?
