I haven't received my W2 yet but I want a get a rough estimate on how much I'm going to be receiving or if I'm going to owe, I have only made about $28,00 this year I claimed single and no dependants. I am single but I have a daughter as a dependent. I would also claim head of household... please if anyone can help

If you filing Head of Household, your standard deduction will exceed $8,000 and you will get $7,300 in personal exemptions, so over $15,300 of your $28K salary is tax exempt.

The bulk of the remaining $12,700 is taxed at 10%, which means the $1,000 Child Tax Credit will offset most of your tax liability. Additionally, you qualify for the Earned Income Credit (EIC).

If you had ANY money withheld from your salary for federal income tax, you will get all of it back and then some due to the EIC.
